Think about what mood the colors in your photos convey. Since color symbolism varies across cultures, always consider your audience.
• Blue** has a calming, cool, enchanting, and tranquil effect. It often brings a sense of peace and belonging, and has even been shown to slow the central nervous system.
• Yellow, the brightest color, is light, radiant, expansive, and cheerful. It’s a symbol of mental and spiritual consciousness and communication, representing wisdom.
• Red, extremely active, stimulates the nervous system. Viewers have both a physical and physiological reaction to it. Red represents passion, romance, energy, and warmth.
• Green conveys the mood of both yellow and blue. It symbolizes growth, fertility, life, renewal, spring. Green is both calming and uplifting.
